Noel's Story

How it started.

A friend posted a photo of his wife’s, Cathy’s, market stand and I was intrigued by the designs she was putting on denim jackets, among other things, and I asked my friend if she’d be interested in doing a jacket for me. I’ll ask he said.

I had been given an old denim jacket by my niece that she had found at the Salvos. My request was something with an elephant because that appeared to be a theme Cathy liked.

Cathy sent a photo of the mock-up and then it was full steam ahead. Well what a result.

The photo of the finished jacket was breathtaking: picking it up and seeing it in real life was surreal. What craftwork. What attention to detail. It is beautiful and I’m surprised she parted with it.
